Asesinado el 24 de marzo de 1980

El Arzobispo Oscar Romero de El Salvador fue abatido a tiros mientras él celebraba la Eucaristía. El día antes, en una súplica apasionada, él les invitó a los soldados y a los miembros de las fuerzas de seguridad obedecer sus conciencias y la ley de Dios que dice “No mate!” y cesar la represión.

Assassinated March 24, 1980

Archbishop Oscar Romero of El Salvador was gunned down as he celebrated the Eucharist. One day before, in an impassioned plea, he called on soldiers and members of the security forces to obey their consciences and the law of God that says, “Do not kill!” and to end the repression.
